When I am asked what my images mean I am not able to give a simple answer.

Sometimes the starting point of a composition is a memory, or possibly a dream or an old Fairy Tale.

For me the content and the visual expression are very important. I can work for weeks on a face the size of a 10th of a fingernail or on a movement. I work until it feels right and I am rewarded with a great feeling of liberation in my whole body.

The figures in my "scenes" can come from east or west, from primitive cultures, classical antiquity, a Middle Ages Hansa town, Renaissance, Baroque, Rococo, the present day or Cosmos.

The use of theater scenes, scenery and plays can be effective when reaching into the depth of apearances.

I work with open eyes and mind and let the story take it's own path.
